Jonathon “Jono” Shannon is an award-winning advertising creative, screenwriter, and author.
In his commercial work, Jono has transformed brainwaves into ocean waves, created a personal unit of velocity, distilled memory into fragrance, and made talking about emotions more masculine.
He’s been recognised at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, The One Club for Creativity, The Effie Awards, Tropfest (the world’s largest short film festival), and the St. Kilda Film Festival (an Academy Awards® qualifying event).
Jono is represented by Lyn Tranter at Australian Literary Management. His debut novel SNOWFALLS OVER KYOTO is a story of love, loss, and the distinct seasons of our lives, set in Japan and Iceland.
His screenwriting credits include THE LAST FIGHT, a short film focusing on mental illness, martial arts and modern masculinity, and WILDSHOTS, a documentary series highlighting the plight of endangered animals all over the globe.
