The stars are disappearing. Increasing urbanisation has meant that a small collection of International Dark Sky Reserves (IDSR) are the only remaining areas of true darkness left on our planet.

Nightfall is a collaborative documentary attempting to capturing the last night sky.

Shot on location at IDSR around the world, Nightfall encourages each of us to look up, before the light pollution of our cities forever hides the beauty of true darkness from the world.

Once, man looked to the heavens and wondered.
Now, we see only empty skies.

Nightfall is an on-going project. The following stills and timelapse photography were captured at Wiruna, New South Wales under a blanket of stars partially obscured by cloud cover.
